Arthur R. Baria is Assistant Vice President and Agri-Business Head of Nestlé Philippines Inc. Prior to Nestlé, Art began his career as a research specialist at the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) then held various key scientific and regulatory positions in the agriculture industry in the last two decades. Within Nestlé, Art has been highly instrumental in the establishment of the NESCAFÉ Plan in the Philippines helping the country become a forerunner and an important contributor to the global NESCAFÉ Plan commitment. He and his team have introduced scientific innovations internally and externally and have won various national scientific and academic awards over the last three years—most recent being the Gold Award in the waste to resource category of the Sustainable Business Awards for the Coffee Sludge Program. Art is a graduate of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, with a BSc in Agriculture and an MSc in Plant Pathology and Crop Physiology. He handles both the Agronomy Program and the Farmer Connect Functions of the NESCAFÉ Plan. He is married and has two daughters.
