GIZ and Partners

GIZ and the National Convergence Initiative (NCI) – composed of Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Environment (DENR), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) - jointly implement the Environment and Rural Development (EnRD) Program. In close cooperation other GIZ supported projects in the Philippines and EnRD partners, especially the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB), `Ridge to Reef’, an integrated ecosystem management (IEM) approach was elaborated. Various knowledge products were developed to document the joint experiences and describe tested processes. EnRD and its partners will present how the IEM leads to improved natural resource management at local level and how the jointly developed knowledge products contribute to the national roll-out of the CLUP Guidebook Series by HLURB.
